for the Real Toads prompt: All the World's a Stage
All the World's a Stage,
with me bumbling
about on it,
about on it,
like Ms. Magoo,
tripping over my feet,
slapping myself
upside the head,
muttering to myself.
Curtains get stuck
on the draw-ropes,
opening and closing
at random moments,
dust thick
in the old theatre.
The audience
grows restless,
coughing,
shuffling their feet,
and rattling
their programs.
They are
waiting for
the magic
to begin.
Me, too!
Interesting cataclysmic last 5 lines for the magic to happen. And it will, for sure, Koko.
ReplyDeleteYes, the waiting we can not wait...we have to make it...do we not...happy friday Sherry...bkm
ReplyDeleteOh Sherry! What a response to the prompt... Mrs Magoo indeed! Your magic has been spread to the four corners of the globe... it began long ago and long may it continue.
ReplyDeleteWe must get on stage and play, acting is constant.
ReplyDeleteLove the description of your theatre
LOL Sherry! This made me smile. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe magic begins with you! What a delight!
ReplyDeletesometimes life does feel like we are just waiting for it to begin...and other times we are so completely engaged we realized we are already in the midst of the magic!
ReplyDeleteYep, I know the feeling well. I loved this, Sherry.
