After the hoarfrost
and bare brittle twigs
of winter,
this morning dawned,
new-minted,
in fresh baby-green
leaf-garlands,
like a proud young woman
draped in fluffy
feather boas,
stepping out
with a light heart,
toes reaching for
the lush, soft, mossy
emerald carpet
underfoot,
a day
painted green
by a Master Artist's
brush.
Ahhh Spring!
ReplyDeleteLovely poem, Sherry. :-)
A lovely description of spring, Sherry...and aren't we glad to have it after our gray, rainy winter...LOL?!
ReplyDeleteOh, I want this so much!

Beautifully put, Sherry, and it so brings to life the green colors of Spring.
