Dear Santa......

[Jasmine, in younger days]

It's Christmas night, it's Christmas night,
and all the dogs are out of sight,
dreams of cookies in their heads,
tucked into their little beds.

On the morrow, what will come?
Stuffies and bones, they'll all get some.
"Santa, we're Good Dogs all year!"
"Hush, no bark! for he is near."

I hear the jingle on the roof,
and the tiny little hoof.
Whoa! one gift is waking up.
Oh joy! It is a brand new pup.

(just kidding - I wish!)

Not Christmas Eve yet but decided to post something upbeat - we're due for some "upbeat", right? And no, no puppy this Christmas..........maybe come spring?

  2. So cute, Sherry... I was hoping you did have a little puppy, but spring is a good time, too. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

  3. Mixed feelings about puppies today, Sherry. We watched "Marley and Me" last night, and our house is anything but puppy-proof!
And old dogs can be exhausting as well. I wrestled with Lindy for 45 minutes very early this morning, so Dick could get a bit more sleep. She was determined to wake him up.
Love the pictures of Jasmine and Luke.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
    Love, K

  4. Love that pic of Jasmine in antlers. I doubt any of my dogs would stand for that! Yes, spring, Sherry. Spring will come, and so will a puppy when the time is right!

  8. The pup will come in Spring. It has a way of turning to be true when many are praying for it.

  10. What a sweet letter to Santa. And yes, perhaps come spring... Hope it comes true for you. The doggies waiting for their 'juicy bones' are so cute in this, Sherry! Love, Amy
