My Wickaninnish Waves
Wave upon wave,
rolling in to shore,
wipes my mind clean.
***
Heart lifts in joy,
adjusts its rhythm
to the song of the sea.
***
Head in the sky,
feet on the earth :
at one with it all.

At Real Toads this morning, A Word With Laurie offers us the word: Zen, and asks the question: how do you achieve peace? Definitely my cup of tea, and make mine Oolong, please.
Lovely, Sherry... you and I are on the same wavelength (lol).
ReplyDelete:) My kind of peace too. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour images tell the tale.. such a beautiful environment at which to feel at one with the centre of things.

Oh yes........a bit of heaven on earth.
ReplyDeleteZen--this morning it was sitting wrapped in a blanket watching meteors streak across the sky. Blissful silence, save the occasional leaf meeting the earth.......
What a lovely ZEN experience! I feel relaxed after reading this.
ReplyDeleteI like each one! Perhaps the last one the very best!
ReplyDeleteSherry, i'd like to join you for that cup of tea. how zen would THAT be? ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in it's simplicity and honesty, Sherry. Yes... the waves soothe, don't they. So, too, I am learning, does bright desert sky, a cool breeze, the breath.
ReplyDeleteLove these Haikus, but the first one is my favorite! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo perfect for bedtime (mine). Deep breath, relax and enjoy the moment. Camomille works well at night. :0)
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet beauty.

ReplyDeleteI was here.
