Perhaps earth has turned itself inside out,
or the sky has flipped over to show
the floor of Heaven.
I do not know if my feet
are touching earth or sky -
just that I am walking through
a celestial landscape,
and I never want the sight
to leave my eyes.
Also dismaying was my discovery, during the search, that "they" whoever they are, are wanting to mine for lithium in the salt flats. If this spot is on your Bucket List, kids, better get there fast!
A nugget to keep!(I read about the mining too. Sigh.)
ReplyDeleteMine for lithium??? Somehow that figures. Everything the earth offers us seems to get translated into money.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this reflection, Sherry--simplicity and beauty hand in hand.
Oh, that sure figures. Lithium? Isn't that the one used to balance people's moods or for depression? Strange...the salt of the earth being pilfered.
ReplyDeleteI love your POV it brings us into the "shoes," of how one might feel to be there personally.
Well done and thank you so much for joining, Sherry!
Lovely capture of the beauty of sea and sky, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteI will take a celestial landscape no matter how it arrives, Sherry!
ReplyDeletein particular I enjoy the first three lines - the flats do cause the viewer to invert. ~ M
ReplyDeleteI love the flipping over this celestial heaven Sherry ~ Lovely share ~
ReplyDeleteInspiring and wonderfully written.
ReplyDelete" I do not know if my feet

love this part of the post.
Peace

I love the feel of this!
ReplyDeleteSherry, oh wonderful and great big sigh.
ReplyDeleteSomeone is out to exploit the best way they can. Lithium in salt! Of all things! Money is the attraction! Nicely Sherry!
ReplyDeleteHank
Floor of heaven. Beautiful. Lets hope humans learn the earth will happily give but we must respect her limits.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Sherry. I never cease to be amazed at the different ways we Toads, and friends, interpret the prompts. As many different interpretations as there are people (those people who clutter up the landscape — I agree, scenery is better without them)!
ReplyDeleteLuv, K
Wonderful Sherry! I want to write to this prompt~ I wasn't home to do so-in hopes for tomorrow! I love your approach-beautiful~
ReplyDeleteYou said it Sherry...celestial landscape.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Sherry..."floor of heaven" Love the video also. I told Charlie I want to go to those salt flats with my camera...who knows, Maybe one day I will
ReplyDelete"Celestial landscape" sums this up perfectly, Sherry. Thank you for sharing the amazing video clip too.
ReplyDeleteSherry, I'm glad you found a video that suits. As for mining for lithium, I'm not putting it on my bucket list, I'll troll the Web for a petition! Will copy you if I find one. Love, Amy
ReplyDeleteSherry, I like the topsy-turvy impression here! :)
