Sometimes a Smile

Sometimes
all we have to give
is a friendly smile
and a hello.

In the heart of the discouraged,
the depressed,
the hopeless,
the downtrodden,
sometimes a smile
that lifts the heart
for a moment
and says "I see you"
is enough.

  4. How right you are, as in a city many people are blind as they walk by trying not to catch the needy one's eye.

  5. Nobody seems to want to catch the eye of the indigent. It frightens them that they could end up the same way.

  8. Spot on!!
Scientists now believe that emotions and expressions happen at exactly the same time. Therefore, seeing a smile, even when you don’t feel happy stimulates happy thoughts!
    Lovely....:)

  9. When we think we have nothing to give, we're wrong: We can always give a smile.
