The soul's clarity,
the mind's confusion ~
our hearts, the bridge
from one to the other
In life,
this is the paradox:
how long it takes
to learn
this simple truth.
A Crone Crunchie from Wild Woman for Sumana's prompt at Midweek : Life: Paradox and/or Balance
"our, hearts the bridge" wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThat key relationship is at times the most elusive, as they speak different languages.
ReplyDeleteWell crunched!
I love the way in why your poem tells me that we can't be our whole selves in pieces.
ReplyDeleteHappiness would be within kiss distance so quickly, if we understood (and accepted) that every individual is everything and everyone--soul, mind, body.
A "simple truth" some of us never get to kiss.
I felt this as a mini meditation. So true and lovely.
ReplyDeleteHow long does it take to learn that simple truth? As long as it takes! (And in the case of the guy in the White House, it will take an eternity, and then some!)
ReplyDeleteHow true this is, now if only more of us would use that heart we would all be a lot happier.
ReplyDeleteSimple yet so complex truly a paradox, this hear and mind of ours
ReplyDeleteHappy you dropped by my blog Sherry
much love...
"how long it takes
ReplyDeleteto learn
this simple truth."....So, so true, Sherry. Sigh.
Beautiful simplicity in the poem and the paradoxical truth, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteDo we ever learn this simple truth; the bridge that connects us together! Profound this, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteindeed life is a matter of the heart and soul within..striking lines
ReplyDeleteIndeed. It used to bug me that it took me until my 50s to figure stuff out. Then, I realized I am still figuring it out every day anyway... Thanks for sharing.
