This morning
the fog is rising from the sea,
the fog is rising from the sea,
lifting off cedar and salal
like a misty curtain
on an old painted window,
to reveal
the landscape of my dreams.
like a misty curtain
on an old painted window,
to reveal
the landscape of my dreams.
In my heart,
a flickering in response:
a candle,
lit in gratitude,
ever burning,
now that
the time of supplication
has passed.
has passed.
for The Sunday Muse
I love the idea of fog rising from the sea like a misty curtain
