Change-Makers

One tired woman
sitting at the front of a bus

One small girl
sitting in front of Parliament

One man with a dream
One girl with a book
and a veil and a voice

Can spark a tidal wave
of change.

  1. Greta has indeed, inspired a tidal wave
of change; inspiring both the young and old.

I like how your piece shines a spotlight to all; the tired, small, etc., who support this "movement". Because change makers come from all walks of life.

  4. Sherry, this one gave me chills. It also gave me an intense need to howl, "Yes! Yes! Yes! Let's do this."

  5. I try to change myself as much as I can... maybe it's easier for others to follow than to be told what to do.

  7. Thank you for reminding us of this truth – with the great examples of Rosa, Greta, MLK and Malala. Heroes all. Giants! And, yes, we could all be.

  10. Sadly some politicians are mocking her as she is a glitch in their plans to continue mining and selling fossil fuels and felling trees that allow us to breathe.

  13. Wonderful and so true. Makes me think of Margaret Mead's statement: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
