He speaks
the way electricity
short-circuits:
a scrambled stop-and-start
of incomplete phrases,
plucked at random.
Yet his henchmen
eat up
every
incomprehensible
word.
for Mama Zen's WTF? prompt at Real Toads : write something strange you saw this week in 60 words or less. I had just read the Time interview with an incoherent trump. Sort of like you'd expect on a closed ward somewhere. Only took me 26 words. The sign really says it all.
Perfect. I was thinking this earlier today while watching DT talk to Women. His press secretary is almost as bad. Wish I had written this. We had grown accustomed to an eloquent speaker.
ReplyDeleteThis should have a "love" button!!
ReplyDeleteuh, what he said, and then said the opposite. irk
ReplyDeletePull his string and he spouts a generality.
ReplyDeleteI loved the image. Now I love it better.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yes he pretty much is the most insane thing anyone can see in a week.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry. This from one not U.S. tells it like the world sees him, should see him to those who still believe. But, ... his henchmen are many.
ReplyDeleteHis stand on the Arts, to kill the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funding assistance, reminds me of the ISIS troopers. Our good president Johnson got that started way back. Actually most everything from the opposite party (Dems) has to go per trump's standards.
..
Not to mention his minions. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteEvery time he speaks, a perfectly good adjective dies.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I suppose one shouldn't laugh but cry. However, the poem and commentary cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteIs this who I think it is? Couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteEvery time he tweets
ReplyDeletehis minions squeak
and speech is less
than results a mess....
I have my own theory who you can mean.
Your poems reflect my feelings about the situation. It's almost hard to understand how so many people in the world are so willingly gullible.
ReplyDeleteIt's not funny anymore :(
ReplyDeleteacid drop sharp description Sherry
ReplyDeleteAstute and cute! Those of us who see him for what he is are appalled that he has fooled so many. Sad times.
ReplyDeleteBang on, Sherry!
