Hope

         Hope.........

that the

sacrificial

human heroes

at the reactor site

in Japan

can control

and cool

the nuclear reactors,

and

the world can

thus step back

from the brink

of even more

catastrophic

events.

 Hope......

that those living

in Japan

will go on living.

 Hope.......

that the radiation

will not spread.

 Hope

and help

is all

we have

to offer,

in such times

as these,

when

the future

is suddenly

a question mark,

and the ground

on which we stand

has shifted.

I pray

for this planet

that I love,

and all its people.

I try to

hold onto

 hope that

the worst case

scenario,

 at least this time,

can be

averted.

Dog Hero in Japan

This is how loyal and devoted dogs are - this fellow refused to leave the side of his injured friend. He seems to be trying to get help for him, by approaching the humans, then returning to his friend's side. So sad. If you watch till the end, you will see him pawing his friend, as if to comfort him. The injured dog then moved, thankfully, so is still alive.

A note under this youtube clip says that both dogs are now in the care of Animal Rescue, and are all right. I hope so. My heart breaks for these creatures. Humans are usually able to get help when they need it. But dogs can only endure their current reality and hope that help will come. I hope it came for these two today. There must be thousands of dead, lost or injured animals over there right now.

Human Family

Ten thousand bodies

they say
may be
found

along the shore.

Ten thousand

mothers and fathers,

ten thousand

daughters and sons.

There cannot be

a soul

on this planet

that does not

share

the grief

at this loss

of human

family,

alarm

at this

demonstration

of

planetary

distress.

A Suffering Planet

No words

can help

ease this

      devastation......

only prayers

for a

suffering planet

and its suffering people.

And a hope

that

all leaders

can unite

in addressing

climate change

before the

entire world

finds itself

homeless.

Please add your voice to those urging leaders everywhere to face the hard decisions that must be legislated, to bring this wildly swinging global environment back into balance. And add your hearts and minds to those putting peaceful and transformative energy into the global consciousness, striving towards unity. Namaste.
