Small roadside tavern,
I put quarters in the jukebox
but you didn't dance with me.
Your eyes were busy
Looking Elsewhere.
No wonder every song
I played
I played
was a sad song.
When I traded you
for a dog,
my songs got
SO much happier!
LOL. My first quadrille, with big congratulations and thanks to DVerse on their tenth anniversary. Brian and Claudia are in the house. Yippee! Thank you to the wonderful founders of dVerse, and thanks to Bjorn and Grace and staff for keeping this awesome site going.
HECK YES, people do really suck sometimes. Pets make everything better. :) A very emotional poem with an extremely happy ending.
ReplyDeleteSnort.
ReplyDeleteDogs understand unconditional love much better than us humans. Its his loss, wild woman. He doesnt deserve the sad songs. :)
Thanks for joining in, always good to see you!

This made me smile, Sherry. It is so YOU.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many out there who can be replaced by a dog (or a cat)... but when you find a real human friend it can be even better.
