A FLAWLESS MAGICIAN

The middle of the Rocky Mountains

A Flawless Magician set the mountains all in place
set sun and moon and stars up in the sky
to keep us dreaming on the how and why
in our eternal quest to see His face.

On earth, the beauty of the sea and land
was painted by a Master Artist's Hand
in Mysteries too deep to understand,
its smallest cell and pattern
most magnificently planned.

No matter how we might abuse His gift,
between humans and nature, such a rift,
nature shines her brightest beauty nonetheless,
her bounty spilling onto us, to bless

When God made earth, He gave His very best,
scattered a universe of stars o'er all the rest.

for Susan's prompt at Mid Week Motif: Earth Day or Earthiness, and for Elizabeth's prompt at Soul's Music : Earth Day Challenge. Happy Earth Day, to our beautiful Mother Earth, who keeps sharing her goodies, even when we don't take good care of them. Day 22.

On earth, the beauty of the sea and land

Alas, we shall never comprehend how He works in mysterious ways :D

  7. Sherry,

A lovely poem with prayerful qualitites, giving thanks for the great gift of the world we were given. Sadly without much respect or care, humans have destroyed so much..However, as you rightly write, the goodness of nature is still there for us to enjoy...For now..

  8. It is a pity so many think they know better than their Master and ruin the only planet we have.

  9. Clearly we have been spoiled and we are acting this way. Sadly time is running out and answers are few. Cry for the children we give them no inheritance.
