I never dreamed
missing you would last forever.
I never dreamed
your spirit would remain so large,
your absence would walk beside me
for the rest of my earthly life.
I never dreamed.

    The grief seeps through the poem. Heartfelt. The image completes the picture.

    You know, it is a constant companion - much like they were. We can take it as sad, or realize they did not want to leave us alone - so they stay close.
