"I feel I am meant to give you a message,"
she said, walking up to me, smiling.
I had never seen her before.
But my ears perked up.
I am always alert for messages.
"In a dream, I saw you walking on a beach
with a little black puppy.
And there was a wolf somewhere, watching,
in the trees.
Does this make any sense to you?"
"Oh, yes! This is the dream of my life,
and your message gives me hope
that it will come true.
And yes, I know the wolf,
who is watching."
We smile. She walks away.
Now, here I am,
walking on the beach with a little black puppy.
I smile over towards the trees,
where I know a big black wolf
has his eyes on me.
The message part is true? That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful message, or dream...it is true! Sherry it is waiting for you and because it is, you will never be alone.
ReplyDeleteOh when that happens you feel that shiver down your spine and then some kind of satisfaction as well... !!! The wolf is watching indeed!
ReplyDeleteChills - lovely
ReplyDeleteThis gave me goosebumps - a most wonderful piece Sherry as always :D
ReplyDeleteLots of love,

What a message from the universe ~ The words spoken are from your heart Sherry ~ May it be a reality someday ~
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely share and wishing you a happy week ~
Goose bumps in front of the marvelous unsolved mystery that still awaits us in this world!
ReplyDeleteSmiles.. the wolf of us lives wild
ReplyDeleteand free.. no less truly..
than the half breed wolf
of Jack
London's
book..
myth is
domestication
is free and kind..
wild is both
courage and
kind.. the wolf..
is mad when
domesticated
and so is
human
being..
one need look
no further than
TV.. to see what
happens.. when
humans are
domesticated
and locked
up
behind
clothes
of Lies.. both
metaphor and literal
as clothes hide free..
So may the wolf
inside you sing free..
always with Kind and
Courage
my
Friend..
from Alpha
to Omega..
the free wolf
lives with
purpose
and meaning
always now..
in Love
and Kind
of Courage..
Life is FREE..:)
I do hope that the dream again comes true!
ReplyDeleteHaving read your poetry I think I do get the message, love how you added the fantasy in the end... and what a lovely picture too.
ReplyDeleteA terrific poetic joust into the prompt, Sherry. Yes, the wolf is always watching, but he/she is spirit, & can change sexes, & morph to white, depending on where in your karmic adventure you are at that moment. I couldn't help but think of your Pup in the weave of words; nice job.
ReplyDeleteI loved this and I thought of your Pup too Sherry. I'm not so sure that the ending was fantasy... ;)
ReplyDeleteStunning and comforting and inspiring - a wonderful walk in the mystic magic of you - <3 <3
ReplyDeleteyour Pup is always there for you Sherry..may your dream come true...
