Sirius - Hubble Photo
Sirius, wolf-dog-star,
set my compass true north
Steer my course, faithful one
Stay within my sight-line
Sing your song of the spheres
Serenade my journey
Sing me all the way home
for Vandana's prompt at dVerse: a pleaides form, seven lines of six syllables each, each line beginning with the first letter of the one word title. And we must mention a celestial body. And I actually attempted it, whew! LOL. Great prompt, Vandana. You made me exercise my neurons, always a good thing.
Oh, nicely done! I especially love the steer my course line...really wonderful, SHerry. I am hoping to try later...tonight! ;)

ReplyDeleteYour neurons are working wonderfully. I love what you did here. The dog star - totally yours.
ReplyDeleteYou're braver than I. I didn't find the time to work on the prompt before leaving to visit my daughter. But really, even if I weren't leaving, I'd probably by old lazy self and not give the prompt a try. You did great!
I knew without peeking, you would do Sirius.
ReplyDeleteSix syllables??? Now I will have to go back and rework mine!
By the way, your poetry is like crystal today, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteI guess the heavens are going to the dogs; nice Pleaides form, right down to the syllable count; which I just did not do.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the partial eclipse the other day. it seems the heavens move despite us ~
