Written for Susan's prompt at Mid-Week Motif: Newness, or our thoughts on the new year, in 75 words or less.
Why is it anything less than inevitable
that by spring I will be living
by the sea again?
As the great orb turns and turns,
the days will lengthen.
Light will increase:
on our world,
our days, on my life,
on the path ahead.
I need only
follow
where it shines.
