Firefly Fragments

fireflies in a jar are by Angie

Every place I've been,
every person I've met,
has captured
a little fragment
of my heart.

Kerry's challenge at Real Toads today is to write a fragment of a poem, something that might fit in her firefly jar, on Skywriting,  where she keeps lines that have especially moved her. I love the idea of a firefly jar!!!!

  13. The firefly is an amazing phenomena. It lights up within its own power. I find that interestingly in your verses. Prolific postings and apologies for missing some recent ones!

  15. Sherry, I loved this short, effective poem. Reminds me of Janis, "Take another little piece of my heart, baby," except yours is given willingly and in love. Your path is so true, so wise. Love, Amy

  22. Sherry! How lovely to see you. I hope you appear on more Thursdays. This exercise of Elizabeth's has the virtue of being short. Besides, it's fun.

I love the serendipity of your poem being fireflies before you saw her exercise.

The thought of each person as a firefly in our hearts is warming and beautiful.
