Paradox

The soul's clarity,
the mind's confusion ~
our hearts, the bridge
from one to the other

In life,
this is the paradox:
how long it takes
to learn
this simple truth.

  3. I love the way in why your poem tells me that we can't be our whole selves in pieces.

Happiness would be within kiss distance so quickly, if we understood (and accepted) that every individual is everything and everyone--soul, mind, body.

A "simple truth" some of us never get to kiss.

  5. How long does it take to learn that simple truth? As long as it takes! (And in the case of the guy in the White House, it will take an eternity, and then some!)

  6. How true this is, now if only more of us would use that heart we would all be a lot happier.

  12. Indeed. It used to bug me that it took me until my 50s to figure stuff out. Then, I realized I am still figuring it out every day anyway... Thanks for sharing.
