Live Your Dream

A pond past the Summit on the way to Tofino

Within,
there is a still pool
full of wisdom.
Sit by it,
and listen.

Drink from it,
to water all your
hopes and longings.

Breathe the
gift of air
blessing you
from the trees.

Feel all
that you have
always known
without knowing,
coming ever closer,
the connection to
all of life,
growing ever deeper.

Live the dream
that you were born
to dream.

  1. Oh Sherry this is beautiful. It seems the rains and gales have already returned here. I wish you had come and slept on the deck under the stars with me.

  2. I just love the words: "Live the dream that you were born to dream."

Wouldn't it be a beautiful world if we all could do just that!

  4. For the first few lines you seemed to be planting yourself to grow deeply at the pool with water and air. I gather just a little of the tranquility and wisdom goes a long way, and each time you sit so you are more connected. Nicely done!

  5. So beautiful. I love this phrase: "Feel all that you have
always known." Sometimes, it feels like there is so much hidden, just waiting to be discovered.

You're special...like and indigo child...so very in tune with the realest part of all this stuff called life. I really enjoyed this, Sherry.

We are often slow to act or react. We should just rush through if nothing else give way. That's the way in life for the brave! Nicely written Sherry!

  10. the ripples slightly distorts our reflection as we peer into it's mirroring, this wise reflecting pond. Much like our dreams, yet when the ripples recede or dissipate we then see their reflections clearly.

    Lovely, mi amiga

  12. Beautiful. Live the dream you were born to dream. Yes. I often think how sad it is if people reach the end of their time on earth and have any regrets. This is truly lovely Sherry.

  14. Sherry as always your posts and the words they carry are timely and true. This post and the one prior about the pursuit of happiness fit like a glove. You have been a large part of my continued efforts to move forward with my writing. I also know I am only one of many who feel this way. So off I go pen in hand to follow the words of good old Ben. "You have to catch it yourself."
