West Coast Morning

Fog wreathing the mountains,
Grandfather Cedar
poking his head
out of the gray,
old man's beard
trailing,
junkos twittering busily
at the feeder,
as two deer tiptoe
shyly
across the meadow......
"Just another day in Paradise!"
as we are fond of saying:
one more peaceful, misty,
unfolding
West Coast morning.

  2. Oh, I miss the coast. (I always say that, don't I? Well, it's still true.)
Love this photo, and the contrast in size between the little sailboat and the big workboat is wonderful.
So homesick, and I think it's going to be a while unless I can talk Dick out of some of his Aeroplan miles.

  3. As an inlander in Ontario, this poet is just marvelling at your photos and words!
