Crone Stew

On this journey,
we meet
and recognize
each other:
kindred spirits,
who have walked
similar paths
to reach
this moment.
We have
a certain
twinkle
in our eyes,
we speak
with the same
wry humour.
We share
the same cackle.

We each
make our way
alone,
yet it is
comforting,
to see
each other's
lanterns
from afar,
winking
and bobbing
along
through
the trees.

  1. Ok, I am officially losing it, I could've sworn I left a comment, hmm? Love the last part of this, though I don't think of you as a crone.

  3. From one crone to another, I really want that bonfire, do you have a cauldron?

  5. I know that I am grateful to see your lantern out there, though I don't see a crone in its light. I see someone like me, and that's always a comfort, isn't it?
