As I was putting books on the shelf, I came across a book title that spoke to me. I havent read the book yet, but Charles Bukowski titled it:
What Matters Most is How Well You Walk Through the Fire.
I like that. I have no fire happening at the moment, but I do know a couple of beautiful women who are walking through the fire right now, and doing so with grace and beauty. They inspire me.
Enjoy this lovely Sunday.......Happy 4th tomorrow to all in the States.
My WildWoman email is now working. Honest. I have tested it, and it works. Thank Heavens.
Another day of poking about setting up things, and enjoying my lovely new space. Back soon!

Not!
Frick. I am still not receiving emails at the wild woman address and am not sure if the messages I'm sending are being received. If this does not get fixed tomorrow, I will get my own account, this totally sucks. I HAVE WORK TO DO ON LINE.
Grrrrrrrr.
So sorry, my apologies to everyone I have apparently been unsuccessfully trying to reach, and to everyone who has likely given up trying to reach me!
Tomorrow is another day. But! Am unpacked. All that is left are the cd's to sort, always a pleasure. And my office stuff to organize which will take some time. And the art to put up. It all feels cosy and looks great. My sister says it LOOKS like a writer's room. That it does. I have always wanted a wall of books and now I have them.
Manana, kids. We live in hope! I dont miss the phone at all, but I havent had emails since Tuesday morning. Too long.

YIPPEE! This morning the good folk at Shaw talked my sister through repairing my email situation. Thanks to all of you for being patient, and for hanging in.
Now my new email address will work - they promised! All the bounced back ones are apparently Lost Forever. With my luck, that means that Readers Digest tried to phone me in those few days to tell me I finally won the sweepstakes I have been entering for fifty-eleven years and, because I was out of touch, they have moved on to the next person:) Hee hee.
WildWoman2@shaw.ca should reach me now.
I am still unpacking but am getting there - today I should be mostly finished, then I can get busy writing again. And be in better touch with everyone!
Happiness! Plus I dont have to go anywhere today - it's just me and the doggers and all the hummingbirds. Oh, and a raccoon that showed himself boldly yesterday when Warren was out in the yard filleting the salmon. He got a fish head, because he looked cute, and hungry. He is also dangerous to other critters, but hopefully he will not tangle with our dogs.
Forked Tongue

Dinner conversation
went from
people comparing tattoos
to the
covering
of one's entire body
in tattoos,
to the embedding of
studs
right into the skin.
Wild Woman's
eyebrows
rose
higher
and higher.
She now understood
her grandmother's
incredulous
expression
at such
revelations,
as she
can feel
that exact
same
expression
on her face.
Then one guest
said
some people
get
forked tongues:
the tongue is split,
(ouch!)
and you can
learn to
wiggle
each side
separately.
(But why?)
"Isn't it
painful?"
"Well, yeth,
I eck-thpect
it ith
thumwhat
painful."
Cackles.
Now
Wild Woman
has heard
Everything!

Wild Woman on Books
As Wild Woman
shelves
the one thousandth book
and surveys
the result
with satisfaction,
a little
questions forms:
How many books
does Wild Woman
really need?
"Just the one
she's reading
now."
However,
between
the covers
of every
single
one,
lies a
new adventure,
just waiting
to be
embarked upon,
or an old friend,
waiting to be
revisited.
or an old friend,
waiting to be
revisited.
Wild Woman
is
addicted
to
opening
the covers
and
being taken
on
a pilgrimage.
She
will
not
stop
until
her
journey's
end.
Kids, I am being very patient, but the people in my world are Much Too Busy to fix what is wrong with my email program. I have not been able to receive or send emails since Tuesday morning. I apologize to those of you who have been trying to reach me, and also to those of you I need to reach for interviews etc.
Wild Woman says, "Argh!" Bear with me.
Argh!
Hi Kids,
Today I am unpacking books, which means by this afternoon I should have some Floor to walk on.
Jasmine has not stopped grinning since we moved. She LOVES it here, and so do I.
The only problem is that switching from having my own internet account to networking computers over here, and having to change the email address, has screwed up my email program and I am still unable to receive or send emails. One or two have gotten through but my system wont let me respond, keeps bouncing them back to me. So please bear with me. I will use a hotmail address and email you when I get time, maybe later today or tonight.
Warren and Lori are in the July 1st parade today, Lori on her horse, Warren as the pooper-scooper in the rear.....hmmmmm....... Hee hee. Anyway, he will try to sort me out this afternoon.
I am hoping I will soon be back in touch, I miss all of you and hate being out of the loop:)
Soon, kids. Everything else is wonderful, and I am thrilled. I was more than ready for this change and my wee place is totally cute!!!!!
