Traveler,
see the fog
draping the mountains,
Grandfather Cedar
black against
the morning sky?
See Sun and Moon
putting on their daily Sky-show?
We live in miracles,
Traveler,
you and I.
[Sproat Lake in February]
Do you see the waterfall
tumbling down the mountain,
the thousand rivers
rushing towards
the sea?
How is it we go about
our days
forgetting
the glorious gift
it is
simply to Be.
[swimmies in February!]
We're alive in
a land of miracles,
Traveler,
truly,
when we wake each morning
and open up our eyes
upon the thousand
ordinary beauties
life unfolds
against the backdrop
of the skies.
On this
once-only
never-to-be-repeated
ordinary
extraordinary day,
may our gazes fill
with unsuspecting wonder
that we're traveling
through such beauty
all the way.

Dear Sherry,
Glad to have you by
Keep walking! :)
This is beautiful Sherry. I just returned from a lovely walk in the desert. Though my scenery is so different from yours, I still agree - we live in miracles.
Alive in the land of miracles, how true, and how lucky we are. Lucky also to have wonderful words like these to remind us.
It's so true. Today will never be repeated, therefore we must recognize its beauties and revel in them.
Beautifully done, my friend.
Just beautiful.
Sherry, this was magical! I have to read it again~ The beauty of Now!
I loved it~
Oh, my, I love the last stanza of this poem--and seriously is how I try to live each day of my life.
How truly lovely this is.
Sure Koko. We are to seize the moment!
Yes-yes-yes! Everything is a miracle!!! Love this!
You travel a beautiful journey Sherry....and your beautiful poetry captures it wonderfully!
I love the ordinary extraordinary never to be repeated now ~
And thanks for your lovely interview of me ~

Absolutely lovely!
oh yess ... beautiful dear lady.
Yes, we tend to get so caught up in the rat race of being so busy, we sometimes miss actually 'living' life.
Lovely reminder Sherry.
Just beautiful! So many miracles, especially if we keep looking UP.
Sherry, we forget at times - this world is a miracle.
I'm thankful for this land of miracles and of your reminders.
Your words along with those beautiful pictures were truly wonderful!
The ordinary processes of nature are so beautiful and yet so obvious that we don't notice them much.
Your description of nature's beauty is breathtaking.
Nature just is and she doesn't have to be. That's a lovely idea.
