Wild Woman and the Sea

Over the years,
Wild Woman
has watched
young brides
get married
at the edge
of the sea,
thinking
what a perfect spot
it was
in which
to pledge
one's troth.

Now she stands
on the shore,
alone as always,
content,
her heart
full of
the ocean's song,
and she weds
the sea
itself.

  5. Beautiful! The sea is so awe-inspiring. I feel so overcome when next to it. In a good way. It usually helps me put things in perspective.

  6. You know, Sherry, I understand this. If not for my soul-mate connection with The Good Husband, I would feel this way about aloneness. It is good.

  7. A lovely sentiment...wedded contentedly to the sea whose heart is wider than the world. Just wonderful!
