Traveler On the Path

Day 6: Soul Card journey, in company with Elizabeth Crawford of Soul's Music,
with  the art of Deborah Koff-Chapin of the Center for Touch Drawing, http://www.touchdrawing.com/

The traveler
begins her journey
half-hidden,
in retreat
from all
that has
caused her harm.

The journey is
to step
forward
out of the fog
into the
bright light
of the
morning,
to see
all that
surrounds her,
is still
waiting
for her,
to fear
nothing,
within or without,
to make one's way
along the path
with open eyes,
and a heart
ready for
the joyous
discovery
of a waiting
world.

  1. Okay, how do I say this? Yes, Yes, Yes. Talk about winking lights and lanterns. You shine, my friend.

  4. I know the girl in this poem all too well, Sherry...know how hard it is to take that first tentative step. But, oh, it is so worth it when we do! A lovely write...:)
